Summer Safety Tips
Long term exposure to the sun can cause painful sunburn and damage to your skin. It is always recommended to wear SPF 30 or above sunscreen if you will be in the sun for extended periods.
Remember to wear flotation devices if riding in a boat or other watercraft. Never swim while alone and children should always be with an adult while in the water.
Wear a helmet while riding your bicycle and reflective clothing if possible. Remember to follow the traffic laws, cross streets at cross walks, and avoid high traffic areas.
West Nile Virus is a dangerous disease spread by mosquitos during the summer months. Mosquitos are most active in the early morning and late afternoon. Wear bug repellant if you will be outside during these times.
